Brenden Foster’s Last Wish was to Feed The Homeless

Brenden Foster of Bothell, Washington was just 11 years old when he was diagnosed with leukemia and passed in Dec. 2009. “I was coming back from one of my clinic appointments and I saw this big thing of homeless people and then I thought I should just get them something,” Foster said. Instead of asking for an expensive toy or a fancy vacation, he decided to focus all his remaining energy on feeding the homeless. “Follow your dreams, don’t let anything stop you,” Foster said.

Emerald City Lights has been carrying on his wish yearly, giving out sandwiches to the homeless. We continue to feed the homeless in Seattle 3-4 times a year. Read more about Brenden Foster.
